Myelitis is a human disease involving swelling of the spinal cord, which disrupts central nervous system functions linking the brain and limbs. Consequences include tingling, irritation or even loss of feeling, & might reach weakness of the limbs & loss of bladder control. Untreated myelitis can quickly lead to the for good damaged spinal cord.
